G-Field Recorder is a robust data acquisition and analysis system designed for iOS devices. The app enables users to log, plot, and replay various metrics, including 3-axis acceleration fields, rotational displacements, ground speed, altitude, distance, displacement, and course.

It serves a wide array of purposes such as facilitating experiment analysis, tracking sports performance, monitoring drone behavior, evaluating land vehicle and watercraft actions, enhancing security applications, and studying structural behaviors.

All user data is stored directly on the device, granting users complete control over its retention, sharing, or deletion. Additionally, data files can be effortlessly exported in CSV format through AirDrop or numerous other methods such as Slack, email, or LinkedIn.

Originally developed for NASA payloads, G-Field Recorder boasts resilience against data loss due to impacts by continuously saving data to permanent storage. This feature ensures data integrity even in the event of severe damage to the device—like a drone crash.

Key Features:

<li>Logs and plots motion data for 3-axis acceleration field and 3-axis rotations (Pitch, Roll, and Yaw).</li>
<li>Offers virtually limitless recording time with data segmented into sequentially indexed files of approximately 5 MB each.</li>
<li>Features programmable data acquisition control for defining relative start times, absolute start times, and relative stop times.</li>
<li>Allows configurable acceleration reference frames including options to sense or ignore gravity and select from Proper, Fictitious, or Coordinate acceleration frames.</li>
<li>Enables remote control and monitoring using an Apple Watch for starting/stopping data collection and setting acceleration reference frames.</li>
<li>Allows sampling frequency adjustments from extremely low (e.g., 0.001 Hz) up to 100 Hz.</li>
<li>Automatically logs computed averages and extrema for all recorded motion data.</li>
<li>Supports rewind and instant playback of recorded data along with the ability to add text notes and images to each stored data file.</li>
<li>Offers selectable animated icon graphics for enhanced user experience.</li>
</ul>

Furthermore, the GPS Package In-App Purchase option recommends additional features like tracking ground speed, course, altitude, distance, displacement information along with overlaying an illustrated path on Apple Maps.
